Watery Wednesday - Goosed!
Tuesday, November 10, 2009
It was fish feeding time and one of the catfish 'GOOSED' her, that's why she's in the middle of taking off.
It had happened about 5 minutes before this pic was taken & I knew it would happen again.
I was hoping to be able to capture her at the right moment,
and other than her being a little blurry, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
I was hoppin' happy when I looked on my camera & saw that she was in mid flight like this -
Looks like she's walkin' on water!

TO ALL VETERANS... THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR FIGHTING FOR MY FREEDOM!!!

This has to be the picture of the week. I love these ducks and your story. :)
This is a great shot.
You did capture the duck at a perfect time, Tricia. That's like being in the right place at the right time.
Congrats.
Hugs,
Betsy
Very nice, Tricia...and I love the ones of the barn below!
Great capture!!
Oh lucky you! Now that is a great picture.
She looks none too happy.
Great capture and photo. One of my favorites for today.
I think you're timing was right on! What a fine action shot. I like how you saw the possibility and waited for a reoccurrence to get your picture. Well done!
She looks funny...!
Wow!!
Its a BIG one :-)
Lovely shot !!
What a great capture! Good job on this one Tricia!
It did turn out just right. funny story.
She looks like she's about to attack you for taking her picture! Funny!
It was just the right moment, your photo is great and clear enough for such a difficult shot.
You have a very beautiful blog!
Ha, ha. Poor duck!
Great action photo :)
I like the generously golden color. Your work is very beautiful!
Tricia: When is a duck a goose, when a catfish comes up and helps.
Tricia,
In answer to your question about the picture I posted today--and it was an interesting question, my dad joined the army in 1948 as did my Uncle Jack. They are only 11 months apart. They lived in a small mining town (I think it was called Standardville) that no longer exists. All the camp houses were moved, some of the foundations can still be seen, but the mine tipple is gone and the portals to the mine have been closed up. So things have changed dramatically since the picture was taken. Thanks for asking.
LOL ... what a wonderful back story to accompany this marvelous shot! Thanks for dropping by Happily Retired Gal ;-)
Hugs and blessings,
This is just ducky! A catfish goosed her - that's funny.
The little bit of blur accentuates her reaction to the "goosing"!
You're a funny person, Tricia.
Great shot.
By the by, you could write the The Villages, ask them where the got the wagon and then go buy one yourself!
My bro Mick said I should come visit the goose that got goosed, he was highly amused. Glad I did. well done your. patience has paid off
Hi Tricia,
LOL at the catfish comment. That was a good one Tricia!
Nice capture of Daisy taking off.
This is a wonderful picture for Watery Wednesday. Thanks for the great capture.
I hope that duck isn't laughing at you. :)
Your photo is great fun. The tones of light are quite nice also.
neat shot of the landing! It seems that every time I try to get a landing shot I can't focus quickly enough to capture the moment. Great pic!
If I were on the other side of the camera and caught this, I would call it my lucky shot. I've just missed so many of these.
Great shot for you.
Wow! great shot Trish! I think the duck is saying bye bye to you!
P.S. Your comment was so hilarious and I love it!
A stunning capture of the ducks! And love the ripples and reflection too!
Wow, that is a great capture!
Great motion picture, Tricia!
