Solarized - Just Had To 'Try' It

The bottom pic isn't the actual original - I don't remember saturating it quite that much, but that's how it somehow turned out.
I applied the 'solarize' effect to the top pic before making it black & white then erased where I wanted the color to come out in the sky & the leaves at the top.
I didn't get it quite right where the leaves meet the sky in the shot, but I'm new at this & don't quite know the tricks just yet.
Bryan at Visual Victuals photo of Paris, France was my inspiration to try this effect.
I would really love to take a photography class, but I'm lacking the funds.
Maybe someday.

Mellow Yellow Monday - Baby Sheep

Two of the newest babies at the farm, born this past spring. I like all the little yellow flowers around them.
One of the momma sheep is pregnant again, due next month.
And, remember the tour I took you on with the ducks, Gus Gus & Daisy, last week for my Watery Wednesday post? I showed the nest w/ 8 eggs in it... there's only 5 now! My mom seems to think that Shawnee, her Australian Shepherd, got ahold of 3 of them. So, they had to put Daisy & the nest in a cage to keep them safe from Shawnee & also from an eagle that's been showing up at the farm lately. It's been YEARS since I've seen an eagle around here & I'm hoping I'll be lucky enough to be out there when it shows up & even luckier to get a photo of it.
Yes, I guess I'm askin' too much w/ that one!

Watery Wednesday - A Tour

I'm gonna take you on a tour around the farm w/ Gus Gus & Daisy!

1st stop... Feeding time! (That's my dad holding the container of their feed.) Gus Gus is the white one & Daisy is the black one.

Ahhh! Full bellies! Time for a swim. (Not such a problem for ducks to swim after eating)

We'll waddle our way down to the upper pond 1st.
Still waddling! Come on camera lady, try & keep up w/ us!

So relaxing to take a swim around the lower pond

Hmmm, time to go back up to the house for another helping of feed...
Before it's time to sit on the eggs again!!!
Momma Daisy has laid 8 eggs in my mom's flowerbed & they're scheduled to hatch any day now!

I'm not really sure what happened here, but, to me, these pictures look like they're painted with water colors and the paint is actually melting or running. What do you think?

When I took this picture I didn't see the bird way up there in the sky - Do you see it?
I thought I was just taking pics of the jet contrails. Then, when I got home & loaded the pics onto my computer - there it was... Serendipity!
