Watery Wednesday - Lake Wappapello

Over the weekend, I went to a family reunion at the lake & thought I'd share some pics of the dam for Watery Wednesday. Hope you enjoy!

Wappapello Reservoir

Over the weekend, I was able to take some photos from around Lake Wappapello just north of here. I started yesterday with a flower from one of the lookouts & today I'm showing The Wappapello Reservoir built in 1940... tomorrow, some watery pics.

Today's Flowers - At The Lake

I went to a family reunion this weekend at Lake Wappapello about 20 miles north of Poplar Bluff
& was able to take quite a few photos of the area,
so for the next few weeks I'll be posting them.

Scenic Sunday - Drive By2

I know this shot isn't the clearest, but it was taken from the golf cart while driving through the woods at my parent's farm.
Do you see mom's dog, Shawnee, running behind the trees?

Camera Critters - Hummingbird In Flight

I was waiting for a hummingbird to come to the feeder & I actually caught one &
was surprised to catch it in mid-air.

This isn't a sepia photo... I DID edit the picture, but the sky was already an orangish color, I just enhanced it!

Jacob & Jack

These 2 guys are my mom's favorites & they love her, too... especially Jack!
He follows her around like a lost puppy dog while she makes rounds feeding them & the horses!

Shearing Time

Several weeks ago, mom decided it was time to sheer the heavy thick coat on one of the sheep, so I took these shots.
The smaller one to the side is the momma's baby & she stayed the whole time, but the others had to be on the outside of the gate.
It went pretty good.

I'm so sorry to hear about the death of Patrick Swayze - I've enjoyed so many of his movies while growing up.

Wiseman Warehouse has been here in Poplar Bluff, Missouri for as long as I can remember & I don't know if there's anything inside or if it's still being used, but this shot is meant to make it look as good as possible - It's not a pretty place.
