At The Lake

This was taken at Wappapello Lake in Southeast Missouri over the summer. I assure you, it doesn't look like that here now.

Welcome Cardinals

Camera Critters - Will She Ever Learn?

Hello all, I'm LiL MaN!
I've tried & tried to teach my LiL SiS, Chloe, how to drink from the faucet, but she just doesn't learn.
Ya gotta drink from the tub, not the sink... see? In the tub you can get under the water, therefore, drinking is easier & much easier on the neck, too!
She's awful cute trying, though!

Camera Critters - NO FURNITURE!

Did I drop something down there? I don't see it, but I think I dropped something.
Every time my Tricia buys a gallon of milk, she always gives me the little blue ring around the lid & then I'll spat it across the floor a few times & it always ends up under the furniture.
If only there wasn't any furniture in here! Jeez!

These guineas had the road blocked a couple weekends ago as I was taking a country drive and snapping a few pics along the way. I think they thought they owned the road!

Watery Wednesday - Tricia's Creek

This is a place we spent quite a few hot summer days when I was in my twenties, so much so, that we named it Tricia's Creek.
I have no idea what the real name of the place was or even if it had a name, but my family & I would drive the back roads on 4 wheelers (mom on her horse) and we'd swim & just have a lot of fun.
This photo shows both sides of the low water bridge that I'm standing on, which they've raised & made into a concrete bridge now & just messed it all up! I used to shallow dive into this creek, but that's too dangerous to attempt now.
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Here's to memories!

You Made A Difference

I received this 'You Made A Difference' award from Kaye at The Road Goes Ever Ever On
She made the award herself and I was one of the recipients - Thank you so very much for thinking of me, Kaye!

Here are the rules -

You don’t have to accept it if you don’t want to.
You don’t have to post it anywhere on your blog unless you want to.
You don’t have to mention where you got it or link back.
You don’t have to pass it on unless you really want to.
The only requirement for passing it on is that you give it to someone who has really made a difference in your blogging experience. In other words it’s just a way to say Thanks.

There are several people that have truly made a difference in my blogging experience and these are just a few.

1. My brother, Brian at Terrell Texas Daily Photo, got me started blogging in April 2008 & I've been at it since. He knew I'd enjoy it & kept at me for a while, til I finally gave in & gave it a shot. Thanks for making a difference.

2. Rose at Pics & Pieces - Rose is one of the sweetest people I've met while blogging. I love the childhood stories she recalls, not to mention her barn photos. And you really need to stop by & see that grand baby of hers, Lorelei, such a beautiful baby girl! Oh, also check out her header photo... fantastic black & white! Thanks for making a difference.

3. Don at slackwater - Don has been an inspiration for me - his photos are AWESOME! I remember the 1st time I visited his blog, the photo loaded & my mouth dropped open. I know I've said this before in a previous post, Don, but I just can't help it - I love your photography! It was a photo of The Athabasca River in Jasper National Park! That one got my attention & I've been hooked since! You really should check out his blog. Thanks for making a difference.

4. Jacob and his Florida blogs - I can't choose just one of his blogs as my favorite and the one I've linked to is just a starting point, so go check them out - his sunrise & sunset photos are phenomenal! Jacob, your comments have been so nice, often hilarious, but encouraging for me and I want to thank you for that. Thanks for making a difference.

5. Michele at Rocky Mountain Retreat - Michele is one heck of a person - no I don't know her personally, but I just know she is & her personality comes through in her photography. She has the eye of a professional photographer, of course, everyone knows that though because she's well known in the blogging community. We also know that Michele has epilepsy and that prohibits her from getting out and doing what she loves to do a lot of the time, though, and she could really use your prayers - she's going through a very hard time... please keep her and Marcel (her husband) in your thoughts and prayers! Even through the seriousness of her epilepsy, she still finds the energy to comment on sooo many blogs, although I think she's recently been forced to take a break - I don't know how you do it, girl, but you're AMAZING!!! Thanks, Michele, for making a difference!

6. Betsy at Joyful Reflections & George at Senior Moments - Betsy and Michele both have a heart of a lion! You all know them both & you know I'm telling the truth!
Betsy and George both are tremendous people & I'm so glad they both have each other & reading what they both blog about each other is why I'm giving this 'You Made A Difference' award to them! Thank you so much for making a difference!

I'm not done giving out this award yet, but I'll have to continue another night -
I've gotten very emotional while making this post.

Camera Critters - Chloe & Me

Hellooo Everyone! I'm LiL MaN!
How ya'll doing this weekend after that nasty 'ol Friday the 13th? Hope you're all still kickin' and doing well!
Meet my sister, Chloe!
We're twins, do ya see the resemblance?! HaHaHa! I crack myself up, sometimes!
But we really were born at the same time, well... I was actually born last, so she's just a lil older than me.
How ya like my new badge? I made it myself! Hehehe Still crackin' myself up!
Have a wacky weekend

Watery Wednesday - Goosed!

These 2 ducks live at my parent's farm - The white one is the male, Gus Gus, and the one 'in flight' is Daisy, the female.
It was fish feeding time and one of the catfish 'GOOSED' her, that's why she's in the middle of taking off.
It had happened about 5 minutes before this pic was taken & I knew it would happen again.
I was hoping to be able to capture her at the right moment,
and other than her being a little blurry, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
I was hoppin' happy when I looked on my camera & saw that she was in mid flight like this -
Looks like she's walkin' on water!
I'm very sorry, but I forgot to say anything about Veteran's Day when I made this post.
TO ALL VETERANS... THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR FIGHTING FOR MY FREEDOM!!!

Camera Critters - Wishin' & Hopin'

Hello all, I'm LiL MaN!
This is my momma, Kit, sitting here in the window with me & we're really longing to get outside, but Ms Tricia says there's dogs out there that will KILL us (not to mention the flees that'll drive us crazy), so we can't go outside!
Can you imagine such a thing?!

Sky Watch Friday - Creepy Sky

I had planned to post these last week for Halloween, but my internet was down.
