Sorry that I answer you so late, but I have been at the resort, our Lia, and there is no Internet access. Promise to come up with more feedback next time on Skywatch. Beautiful picture ❀
Such a wonderful pink peony. I love the bird. I often find bugs on my flowers when I upload them and I never even noticed they were there when I was taking them. You couldn't make that happen if you tried.
On HDR, if I cant get the right result that I wanted, I do one, combination or all of the ff: 1. increase the stop gaps to 2.5, max of 3.0, 2. 5 images instead of 3. 3. adjust properties in Camera Raw before HDR, like white balance, vibriance, saturation. 4. After HDR, in Photoshop adjust shadow/highlights for the texture. Adjust curves if necessary.
A fine blossom shot. I'm impressed with the range of brightness you captured in this image. Nice detail and a mysterious feeling heart of the flower add up to an appealing image.
Re your comment on Cedar Key...All the evidence points to these books being "self-published." They are not sold in stores, unfortunately, though Chris tried hard to make that possible.
If my sense of him is worth anything, I would bet that you'd have no problem buying a book by calling him and placing an order...I'd guess he'd even take a check. Sounds like he's done a lot of that down through the years.
One of my favorites of yours! I just imagine your having to lay back under the flower and wait... for a bird to fly over? Lovely view skyward, through a flower's stem.
Very interesting how the sun makes the outline of the inside of this flower as a shadow! If it confuses you, I'm an artist and think in different ways:):)
40 Charmers Say?:
Great light and detail. (And I didn't see the bird until I read your post!)
The light of the flower is terrific. As the picture loaded on my screen, the bird was the first thing I saw.
I saw the bird first, too! Cool capture - love the lighting and the color of the flower!
Love the little birdie hehe...
Your pink flower is glorious :-)

Stunning...the flower, the lighting and yet, I also see a bird in flight above it all....amazing.

Very clever angle here, nicely done.

That is basically how I do it.

What a cool shot! And what a bonus with the bird :)
This is a wonderful macro of the flower, and I like the bird in the top corner as well.
Perfect name for this post! And what a shot to capture that bird flying overhead!!
this is absolutely gorgeous...
what luck to get the bird high up in the sky. it adds such lovely whimsy.
I like those pleasant surprises! Nice macro!
Love the outline of the shadows on this one!
Now this is a wonderful perspective and the bird adds so much to the photo!
Hey I would love to look at your pictures....is there any easy way to get to Sept 08 without going older post, older post/ha
love the perspective and the blurry bird flying through the sky . . . great shot.

Neat shot. I like the way you use perspective here.
