The highway department cut through the middle of my parent's 32 acre farm several years ago abandoning the original highway built in front of their property -
That's quite a photo! You must have been prone on the road. Or you set the camera down and used a remote to trigger the shutter. Either that or you've got very, very long arm! :-)
Hi Tricia, Thanks for visiting my photo on SkyWatch Friday. (http://manilat.se/?p=597 ) A friend and I, who share a passion for photography, have started a site called Everyday Life Around the World. (http://everydaylifeatw.com ) This is about sharing little pieces of your everyday life with people all over the world. There will be a new theme each week. The theme will be presented on Sunday and then you have the whole following week to post your picture. The theme for this week is “A typical house in my village/town!” I hope to see a house from the place where you live. Best wishes Guy Jonsson
I. Love. This. Shot!!! Tricia, really great capture. I love the perspective.
A couple of years ago I had a whole series called the White Line project. It was all photos of the white line on the side of the highway, and all of the scenery you could see from there. Might have to revive that one, you've inspired me now!

great shot ... scenic indeed ... thanks for the dropping by my blog..
Lucky they don't use the road any more. Makes it easier to lay down the middle and take photos.
Now that's an interesting perspective!
Wonderful shot, Tricia...
Hi Tricia, Happy Mother's Day!!!! We're home from the beach --and I'll post in the morning. Had a wonderful time --but it's nice to be home.
One of my sons is visiting me on my 'special' day today!!!!!
Hope you have a wonderful day. I hope you get to see that precious granddaughter today.
Hugs,
Betsy
I like the low view of the old road. I like the into the sun look of the road and the trees. I wonder if it is still used or abandoned.
Stunning !
I love it !

I'm glad you weren't on a busy road. :0) Very cool shot!
I love these ground level shots. There's something about this perspective that pleases the eye.
