Van der Sloot's attorney, Maximo Alonso Altez Navarro, said he planned to ask the judge in the case to strike down van der Sloot's confession, because he was not properly represented when he was interrogated.
Additional thought... It amazes me that the law in Peru will lessen Van der Sloot's sentence because he was under the influence of marijuana at the time of the murder.

I've been following this case since Natalee Holloway was murdered in Aruba in 2005 & no telling how many other woman around the world he's hurt, raped, or possibly killed (he's been traveling the world since Natalee's murder & has been linked to selling Thai women into prostitution in the Netherlands at $13,000 a woman) & it's scary how close he's coming to getting a reduced sentence or possibly getting off AGAIN!
I cringe every time I hear/read these kinds of things in this case.

6 Charmers Say?:
This guy and ALL like him make me SICK! All the terrible things he has done. I just heard today that he had asked for money a while back and then he would tell where Natalies body is....this guy is very, very ill!
I'm not sure what will happen to this IDIOT---but I hope he gets sent to jail for many, many, many years. I worry though since he has wiggled out of everything he's ever done... Can he wiggle out of this one too???? GADS.... I hope not.
Hugs,
Betsy
I'm with you. He's the perfect target for a hitman!
I am praying that justice prevails and this evil person is punished!
He is a psychopath.
What is scary if you think about it, is he is just the one we have heard about. There are probably many, many more that just have not made the headlines.
