I like your barn nestled behind these trees. The fence makes a fine foreground object too. Nice post.

Wonderful old barn. It seems funny to see leaves on trees yet I know they will be back. LOL MB

'Tis a charming barn, indeed. I am surprised at how open it is...no doors. Might get a little cold in there at night...

Lovely photograph, Trish!

Oh, that guy in Cedar Key is still waiting for you...

Hope you had a great Christmas, Tricia! I'm back from visiting family just in time to play again this week. I like your barn and the greenery yet to return this spring and summer. :)

You can sit right in there and watch everything. Lots of room in there too.

On my site, click the pictures for POTY and you should go to the original post.

When I shot barns earlier this week - you were the first person I thought of. Glad to be joining this week!

Hi Tricia,
The barn in the flooded pic is the one you askrd about when the river flooded. Remember? No more flood everything back to squishy normal.
Yes they paint over the barn everytime and in the middle photo they were preparing to paint over the writing in the top picture and the numbers were a bible quote I think. Sad to say it changes quite frequently. MB

Greetings, Tricia. Thanks for all of your great comments today!

And I especially appreciated the one that your grandmother told about the cow. Reminded me of my first year in college when some of my friends (I was NOT involved) greased up a pig and let it loose in one of the girl's dorms. What a mess! I thought it was funny at the time, but I was only 17!

Later that same year some of the "older" young men picked up a Volkswagen Beetle and carried it through the doors of one of the campus buildings and left it sitting in the foyer. I'm not sure how they did that. I thought that was funny, too. I still think that was funny!

I don't think I learned too much that year! :-)

I love this shot! Reminds me of the barn behind the house I grew up in - my brother lives there now (in the house, not the barn) ;-)
