Watery Wednesday - Bluff View, Missouri

This place is pretty fantastic...
those bluffs were a complete surprise when I rounded the corner & saw them!
I couldn't get the color right while editing, so I gave up & turned them b&w...

there is something about seeing a b/w image that evokes mystery and otherworldliness.

Great shots and pretty scenery, Tricia! The bluffs look wonderful in B&W.

Looks like a neat place, Tricia... I would love to see that area in color sometime. I'm not much into B&W's except in very old pictures. BUT--I can tell how neat this place is.. Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Betsy

I was thinking that these would normally be color photos but they work this way too. Especially the top one and the third one.

Amazing! This would be a great place to spend a summers day! Except for the water, it reminds me of the bluff country in southern Minnesota.

Nice job. I like the black & white.

I think the series is very successful and effective in presenting this interesting place for recreation. The last picture does a good job of cluing us in to the activities available around this site. Nice one.

It's a coincidence. Your entry is B&W, too! I love tones and composition.

I really like black and white photography, in some ways it is more timeless than colour. These photos of yours are really panoramic and the bluffs do look spectacular.

I scrolled down to look at your barns, which I've always found relly interesting, American Barns, that is...ours are completely different! I have a theory that if you just saw a barn, you'd know what country you'd been plonked down in...not sure if its so...

Thank you for visiting my place and your kind comment- I'll be seein' ya in tha Bahamas so?!

I like those bluffs, I never thought of tuning a shot into b&w when the color didn't look right.
