Simple Pleasures

I'm sorry, but I didn't get the name of this when I shot the pic,
but it was taken at a favorite place of mine...
Missouri Botanical Garden in St Louis, Missouri.
I truly l♥ve it there & would go every weekend, if I could...
Hope you enjoy my 1st entry to this lovely meme!
Project Simple Pleasures2

My dad had surgery today & it's his 68th birthday!
Lots of prayers!!!

Can't help you with the name Tricia, but it looks very nice en masse like that. Almost like it should be spring !

Seeing this beautiful plant on a cold night is a wonderful pleasure.

Tricia, welcome to Simple Pleasures. What a great way to start, too. Perfect! And that is Mexican Heather. We have it in abundance here in the summer in Southest Texas. Love the purple flowers.

Thanks for joining up with our fun party here with Dayle! Those flowers are soooo pretty and I so needed that tonight in the middle of our Nor'Eatern blizzard!

You've shown a number of photos from the botanical gardens, all of which have been beautiful - like this one. I can see why that would be one of your favorite places!

Sorry to hear about your father, Trish! We'll keep him in our thoughts. As Lois Anne says, we'll keep him in the "light."

I like the flow of the stems in this colorful and pleasing shot. The bit of color in the blossoms sets the picture off very well. I wish you dad all the best and a speedy recovery.

Hi Tricia, these lovely purple flowers are "Mexican Heather" Cuphea hyssopifolia. I grow borders of them in different colours, from white to dark purple. I am glad you enjoy their beauty. All my best wishes for your dad.
