Before all the vine took over, in my younger years,
we used to go muddin' under that old bridge...
fun times!
I had a 4X4 Ford w/ a 2" lift at the time & got stuck in a deeeeeep mudhole
& had to get wenched out one night about midnight...
haven't had a Ford since! =)

Having fun experimenting

This spectacular green growth is the most dense thing I've ever seen. Amazing pictures. Your processing makes them jump right off the page!

Rosie said...

Wow - this is really impressive! I love your processing!

The vine-covered bridge is amazing. I wonder how long it will be before the vines reach all the way across?

OK these are my favorite pictures yet....I know I say that every other day but girl these are just popping off the screen. I love green!!!!
Your blog opened much easier today...I've been away for a few days and trying to catch up with everyone.
I heard you had mucho rain last week!

I really love seeing all that green! Very pretty, and so different from my desert home. :-)

Such yummy, green, lush summer photos! It seems like the vines are swallowing up the bridge!
BTW, I'm hoping to snap a new charming barn photo this week or next ....

Now if you didn't tell me, I'd think this was in Ireland! The color is like a huge emerald!

Lovely shots, Tricia! I like your treatment, but the original photos are great also.

I'd say you're overgrown with kudzu! Terrible stuff!

And what were you doing under that old bridge at midnight in your 4X4...never mind, you don't have to answer. I remember my old Chevy went kaput about midnight and my date... well, never mind; I'd better not go into that.

these are beautiful. also thanks for the mouse over link.

Lush!
(The greenery and the vines, not the photographer.)
I would love to go playing there, mud or not.

Hey Tricia! Those skulls on my blog are just a very few of ther hundreds my daughter and husband have all over their place. You know they live on a huge ranch and when you have 10s of thousands of acres in ranchland you find lots of bone. Well mostly skulls because bones are usually drug off by varmits. It isn't at all grisley at their place though. They have them lining the whole backyard and here and there too. They have beef and horse and deers skulls and even Coyote and smaller animals. You know they do most of the ranch work on horseback and they spot a lot of stuff out in the badlands. MB

Is that Kudzu? I'm in the Blue Ridge in Virginia and we have Kudzu Vine that virtually takes over everything!...:)JP

Ree said...

Beautiful photos ~ eerie vines taking over, though!

Ryan said...

Beautiful greens. I'm assuming a new bridge was built somewhere down river?

lisa said...

Tricia -
Whatever you did to these...I LOVE it!!
Beautifully done!

Elaine said...

Beautiful! The original photos are fascinating, but then your processing made me feel like I could step right into a fairy tale if I crossed that bridge.

The only word I can think of to describe these photos is BRILLIANT! Great work; I love your edits!

You have amazing pictures, I love your work. I have recently started following you. I too was amazed the first time I saw these vines during my first trip to North Carolina. They are covering everything.
