Wappapello Lake, Missouri Flood 2011

Wappapello Lake, Missouri - May 7th 2011
My aunts & I took a bus ride across the dam to see damage done by flood waters that wiped out T Hwy.

The lake crested in 1945 at 399.09 & crested at 400.02 in 2011 -
Water had gone down by the time we were there that day.

Street light at the boat dock at Redman Creek! =0

Be Careful!

No matter what we do, water is going to reclaim it's territory. Stay safe, Tricia!

A fine series showing the damage and awesome power of a raging flood. It's amazing how much highway and earth the water and move...and quickly. An extra fine action series.

It's easy to underestimate the power of water. Hopefully the water will never get that high again.
