Located on HH Hwy off Hwy 53 between Poplar Bluff & Qulin, Missouri

The storms have passed this area as far as I know & headed farther east now...
It was scary & extremely tense!
I haven't heard of any deaths, THANK GOD, but there's been several tornadoes touch down!

21 Charmers Say?:
I love seeing that old schoolhouse, Tricia. Makes me think about all of the 'teaching and learning' which went on there at one time.
Hope you all escaped the storms today.
Hugs,
Betsy
Glad you are ok and the storms have passed.
I love this old building! To think of all who the people who passed through this building in it's life is really something.
Great shots!
whew! big sigh of relief for you!!! i hope there is not too much damage in your area.
(look at all the windows of this place! i love how close together they are!)
So glad everyone is ok. Such weird weather! That schoolhouse is so charming and love the textures added.
Tricia, this reminds me of the school I went to school at...so many years ago.
Did you go to this school?
Glad to hear the storms have passed you by. After seeing the damage done in Joplin it had to be very frightening.
I love this old schoolhouse and the way the vines are wrapping themselves all around it. With all those windows this must have been a lovely place to go to school.
I'm glad you made it through the storms OK!
That old school house is just begging to be restored!
With all that natural light would make a wonderful artist studio.
Glad to know you're all right. This is really neat...I wonder if there are any one room schools houses left anymore?
Glad all of you are safe. I just love those old buildings. That schoolhouse is very neat. I wonder if there is anybody still around that went to that school.
God Bless
Beth
Another lovely find, beautifully processed.
Glad you all made it through the storms unscathed.
I love old school houses.. and your texture always amazes me.. great processing.
to answer the question on my blog.. that last shot was an aperture of 22 and getting really lucky that the Sun was directly over the pool... I actually saw the sun and said, nobody move so I can get my camera!" I thinkthe colors of the water guns added to the colors of the sunflareI had wanted all the water guns shooting into the air and catch rainbows.. but you saw what I got!
I'm glad you got through the storms without further injuries. I also like your pictures of the old schoolhouse.
Hi Tricia! Glad to hear that you are safe and sound...was kinda wondering about that! Well, I'm not sure "sound" is the right word, but... Just kidding!
I was a teacher. Can't imagine teaching in a place like this although there were times my classroom was "portable."
My mother also taught school and she did teach in a one-room school house in northern Minnesota - back in the 1920s. She had some stories to tell!
Re commenting on blogs: I have made several of my blogs "read-only" ... but you can still comment on Ocala, Florida Fotos, and Images - The Art of Photography.
I love how you have edited these beautiful photographs.
I also hope you have been missed by the storms, and thank you for visiting my blog :)
Hi Tricia, I'm thankful you are safe and there were no deaths associated with the storms.
This is a wonderful old schoolhouse. Brings to mind the Christy series on tv many years ago.
Poplar Bluff was on the Weather Channel again last night, and I thought of you. I get frightened just watching it, and I cannot even imagine what it must be like to be in the midst of it. I pray that this next round passes you by Tricia.
Ooo, i'm sorry...
Your photos are beautiful and nostalgic!!!
Many greetings
