Welcome to this week's Barn Charm!
I honestly don't know how this old barn is still standing...
the boards are too few & far between.
I found it last week when I topped a hill on an old dirt road
& there it was, right there in the middle of my view.

it does provide a nice view through the missing boards...
wow. that is pretty amazing. i like it though!
Another one I wish I knew the history of...we as Barn Charm participants needs to get up our nerve to do some actual investigating to find out the history of some of our entries...and I, for one, would have a lot of shyness to overcome to do it.
oh ... how does it stand????
What a charming, well "air-conditioned" barn!
Oh dear, the barn may not be long for this world.
Really amazing that it is still standing. It doesn't look like it would take much of a breeze to knock it over.
Wow! I'd say that's a barn with some pretty strong bones!
There is something about some of these old, old barns that will not let them give up and bite the dust. There is something so charming for me about the old, about to fall down, ones. They have so much personality and so many stories to tell if they could talk. Your photos of this one are wonderful. You didn’t miss a detail. Genie
I just love it so much! I have a few like this I need to post too. They were taken in Missouri too :)
Have a great week. Happy Monday.
Amazing! Glad you captured it, because I bet it won't be around for long.
It always amazes me that these barns hang on for so long.
I think that barn is why you do barn charm. Nice to share it with the rest of the world, it may be gone soon.
It's frame is so minimal it's a wonder its still standing.
I like it design and no doubt it was once a fine, useful barn. Nice to find and shoot.
Wow it has SO much great character! Luv it!
love it! wish we had cool barns like this around here!
I love the perspectives you've chosen, Tricia....looking through the barn is rather pretty, after all! It's also interesting to see the different applications you've used on your photos. Thanks again for this opportunity!
That's one that could use a little upkeep!
Looks as though it's providing *someone* with a supply of old barn boards? Love the old corn bins beside it and their rusty roofs. :)
I was thinking....when I was in Ireland last year castle ruins were everywhere. Do you think barn ruins are an american trademark? We certainly have a lot of them. Beautiful and sad.
You can certainly tell it's summer in today's barn charm!
It does make you wonder how it's still standing! Great shot!
These are great, Tricia! I saw so many barns as we traveled to south Texas this weekend but we didn't have a spare moment to stop!
We found one that must have looked like this one not long ago. It had finally collapsed, which is sad.
I like the way you've played with the tones of the photos and also the different views. I'm sure it felt appreciated after you left. :)
Oh, and although I don't know an answer to your question on my blog, I'm going to ask some friends and get an answer for you.
I didn't realize how different barns were throughout the states and Canada until I started following Barn Charm. It's quite fascinating!
Hi Tricia--I have been away awhile and one reason is my computer does not work properly. So here is my barn picture only I cannot not size it. So would you please????? Thanks, MaryBeth
By the way I love the old rickety barn---I wish we could know it's history as Rose wished too. MB
awww. it was really trying, wasn't it?
