Devil's Barn in Shannon County Missouri

Mouse Over to see original

I didn't want to spend the next 4 or so Barn Charm Mondays/Tuesdays posting the same barn,
even though it's one of my favorites & such a beautiful barn,
so I decided to continue the theme this week.
July 17th 2011
See my previous post for a little more info on this barn, though it's actually quite a mystery for now.
Black and White Wednesday

I just found a website that lists the barn as abandoned, but someone has to own the land, right?
This is getting more & more mysterious!
I guess I could send a letter asking about it to the address on the site.

These are great pictures. No wonder you like this barn so much.

I love the angles you chose for the photos esp. the first. I'm partial to stone foundations, so I like the close-up in the second one.
Intriquing barn.

I found the foundation fascinating. Now I see that so did most everyone. It makes one wonder what is holding this barn up all this time?

I just love B&W shots!

Neat barn. It looks great in black and white.

Love the composition, Tricia!

Just want to thank you SO much for welcoming me to Barn Charm. I made the full tour and I am over-the-moon excited to meet so many people around the world who share my same passion for photography.

I have been wanting to hook up with others who share this interest.

How do I get your Barn Charm badge on my blog??? After I copy the code...how do I get it on the blog?

Thanks so much, Tricia!!!!

Those are both really beautiful shots! I wonder why it's listed as abandoned if the property has an owner, that doesn't make any sense?!

I love images of old barns, and like some readers i like the last image with the stones under the barn. Around the Lancaster Pa area there are a lot of the older barns which are part stone, those are the ones that i really enjoy shooting with my camera. Richard from the Amish community of Lebanon,Pa

A fine shot of this unusual and very attractive (if questionable longevity.) Nice wood textures.

These are great, Tricia! Even the original on the first one is very good even before you edited it.
