There's an old Amish school house over on the next ridge from us. They're not using it anymore, I'm guessing most of the Amish have moved from that area so it just sits there. I've thought of posting it but just never thought it looked like it would make a great picture. I like what you did to this...hmmmm.
I like the old schoolhouse. It appears that someone has lived in it and boarded up several windows. I attended a one-room schoolhouse a few of my elementary years.
this is so well-done I'm not even sure which version I prefer. there's a Winona Minnesota here, along the banks of the Miss. I love that town because it's where I've had the best Thai food ever! I like the sound of the name too. but I digress. this ranch house oozes charm. have a fun weekend Tricia. I hope you've gotten some relief from the heat.
Now, here your treatment really made a difference...much brighter and more vivid. The "postcard" effect is terrific. You're a very creative person!
Re your comment on Colorado: I'm not sure what that building is/was...it goes back to the 19th century, I believe, and may have been a hotel at one time...
17 Charmers Say?:
sweet and simple.
I can almost see the children playing in the side yard.

Hope you have a great weekend!
This reminds me of a similar school house we saw in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. I like both versions of this picture.
Oh I see you used Shadowhouse's new postcard texture! Just used it myself yesterday. This is really good!!
Great old school house. I like just the way it looks now. I hope it can be preserved in this condition.
I will soon be back on track and posting more barn pics just for you.
My world is swirling around---but in a good way.

I see a curtain!!
Love it, Tricia..... So pretty. I love old buildings like that ---and can just look at them and imagine what went on inside at one time.
Hugs,
Betsy
Old schoolhouses rank right up there with barns! They have charm and character! I like your processing here. It would make a great postcard.
Tricia, I like either version....
Another place and time ...
Wow Tricia, that is quite a change! Love it! Thanks for sharing with us
