So many US sheds and barns are painted red. Most old barns/sheds in Australia have never been painted. May I ask why red paint is traditional in the US?

I like the fence as a foreground item. The old shed looks very good. I like it's squat appearance with the broad roof. Nice shot.
Those fences always seem to get in the way ... so why not make them part of the scene. Love it!
