The Creative Exchange and Friday's Fences - Old Shed

Near my parent's farm - July 4th 2011
As TexWisGirl says... Put a fence in front of it! =)
I don't think it's a barn per se, just an old shed.
Clarify (aka Tone Mapping) applied

It may only be a shed, but it still has a lot of character. I like your edit as well.

Very nice, Tricia.... That shed probably had alot of good uses at one time.... OR---maybe it's still used to storage??????

Great shot.

Nice Tricia...I always love seeing a fence in shots.

I like the fence as a foreground item. The old shed looks very good. I like it's squat appearance with the broad roof. Nice shot.

Those fences always seem to get in the way ... so why not make them part of the scene. Love it!

I'd love to know what it was used for...always wonder that about the old buildings and the barns we post.

Tricia, I really love the way you composed this one. I have some friends that raise chickens, and the building they house them in looks very much like this.

Thank you so much for sharing this at The Creative Exchange.

Have a wonderful day!

lisa.

The fence does make a nice frame for it. Love what you did with the tone-mapping.

What is the diff between
A barn and a shed
Is one alive and
The other dead?

I dunno, but it
Should be considered
I mean you can't milk a cow
In a dead shed!

Even if it's red. Right?

Nice work, Tricia!

Barn...shed...it looks like it could hold a lot of cats either way....cause that's what I would use this pretty place for!

So many US sheds and barns are painted red. Most old barns/sheds in Australia have never been painted. May I ask why red paint is traditional in the US?

Great shot of this aged shed. And the fence adds a nice sense of perspective.

I think that TexWisGirl is right. The fence adds to the shot. Very nice whether it's a barn or a shed.
