This tree isn't suppose to be near the water, much less nearly half submerged...
ok, maybe that's a tad dramatic, but deep water just the same! LoL!
The marina in the background is, of course, in the water,
but there's a steep embankment between it and the tree...
Record breaking deep, I'm tellin' ya! =)
I posted photos in the spring where the water had washed out the road by the dam just behind me
& you can see this tree in the background of the 'Boat Safe' shot...
Check out the last pic, too =0

20 Charmers Say?:
your photos always look like perfect desktop photos! send some of that water down here! =) i checked out the links too. i link the sharpness of the leaves and branches in this one!
Beautiful photo although I realize the situation isn't beautiful. We have a flood at least once a year at Seneca Lake here in southeastern Ohio---that is if we have a lot of snow in the winter and a lot of rain in the spring which seems to be the weather's standard procedure now.
Our school district often has more flood days than school days! I'm always in awe of what water can do and how in spite of the destruction, a camera can capture beauty.
I know all too well what water can do, watching my docile creeks turn into raging waves of water, living here in the Hollow...soon to be gone with our move...:)JP
Floods are so scary! Great shot.
I've been out with knee surgery but am recovering well.
Hope all is well with you!
An interesting photo, Trícia.
Whenever you discover beautiful things to make art!
Crazy weather we're having this year. Still some damage from flooding from the storm after Irene here. What can you do??
echoing your brother's sentiment!
my trees would love some of that excess...
It does look kind of cool coming out of the water like that. Nice shot Tricia.
The picture is great but not the flood :>
Wow...we had floods this spring too weird weather!
Oh goodness - that is a lot of water!
Although the photo is beautiful, it's scary how quickly towns can flood. We were watching t.v. a few days ago and out of the blue we began getting flash flood warnings. The sky had turned an awful color and so we sat and waited.
Don't like floods...but the shot is beautiful!
We are now drying out over my way, if we dont get any rain. Richard
And Texas continues to be bone dry. Love the character of that tree.
Hope that beautiful tree lived through the flood water.....
mother nature....sure do wish she would spread the love a little!! texas sure would appreciate some of that!!
looks like a pretty big tree!!
Too bad we can channel that down south! Great photo Tricia!
That's a lot of water -- and a great picture.
wow. mother nature has sure been playing crazy with this world lately. floods this time of year yet other places are in droughts.
