WE GOT TO SEE JILLY TODAY!!! =)

This is the 1st time we've seen Jillian in 2 yrs & she's almost 4 yrs old!!!
You can't imagine how excited we all were to spend time w/ her!!! =)

I asked her if she knew who I was & she said she couldn't think of my name...
I said, "my name is Tricia" & she said, "Hello, Tricia, my name is Jillian!!!"
She's so well mannered...

My daughter, Kesley... my grand-daughter, Jillian... & my mom, Peggy...
Her daddy had taken her to the St Louis Zoo yesterday, so that's where she got the
butterflies painted on her arms

Mom had been working on the farm w/ dad when Jilly & her daddy, Justin, arrived...
but we fed the fish...

& she splashed some water w/ the scooper...

her & mom talked about feeding the fish & she giggled!

Mom held on to her while she played in the water so that she didn't fall into the pond
& mom pointed out the goldfish when it would surface to feed... =0

She wasn't upset or mad here, she just has lots & lots of facial expression & I only captured a few...
Her dad had originally said he wouldn't be able to stay but a couple of hrs,
but he actually stayed for almost 5 hrs!!! =)

Help Needed To Get Blogger To Work Right!

Blogger isn't letting me post a pic & I can't figure out why not... I've been trying for the past half hour.  I've tried shutting down my computer & restarting... that didn't work!  When I click the 'Insert Image' button, the window pops up to upload a pic, but the 'Upload button doesn't appear... all the other buttons work, though!  Does anyone have any suggestions, because I have some pics of my grand-daughter that I'm really excited about posting!!! =)

Yarbro One Room Schoolhouse

Located on HH Hwy off Hwy 53 between Poplar Bluff & Qulin, Missouri
May 19th 2011

The storms have passed this area as far as I know & headed farther east now...
It was scary & extremely tense!
I haven't heard of any deaths, THANK GOD, but there's been several tornadoes touch down!
UPDATE: We're forecast for seriously bad storms today...
they've rated this area a 9 out of 10 on TOR-con on The Weather Channel,
& they just announced that The Weather Channel is on their way here to Poplar Bluff, Mo...
that can't be good!
PRAY!!!

Cedar Bluff

Right down the road from Klepzig Mill is this field & the sign said Cedar Bluff.
As we drove along the edge of this field the wind started blowing the tall grass
& I couldn't resist a shot! =)

Klepzig Mill

It gives me comfort knowing I've found this place at last... (see previous post for the whole story!)

A hollow foundation, but do you see the layered rocks?

I found online where papers have been filed to register the mill as a National Historical Site,
but I can't find where it's become official yet,
although, I did find where the NHS are the ones who added the boards
you see to support the weight of the mill...

This is a shed near the mill, but I'm not sure what it was used for...
there's a concrete passage running from a round container full of water
out of the side and down the hill to the creek...

The rock formations & waterfalls are really something to see...
We had lots of rain in April, so the water is higher in this area than it would have been almost 10 yrs ago
when we stumbled upon this place and took that 1st pic... (in my previous post)

Some historical insight - Klepzig Mill

I found 2 more old schoolhouses today, one of which is a one room schoolhouse... so stay tuned! =0
