 I figured since this is Halloween night

that I'd feature the barn near

Devil's Well

in Shannon County - Southeast Missouri... 

A favorite barn of mine...

These shots were taken October 16th 2011

when I went back to see the barn & this area

decked out in Autumn colors...

however, I missed the peak season

by maybe one weekend.

Dern-B-Naggit!

But, I did manage to bring back a souvenir...

A nice lil speeding ticket! *gasp* =0
NOT COOL!

I don't know why,

but I got black soot on my hands when I opened this door

as if the barn had been burned at some point... ?

Check out that stone foundation! =)

This is my daughter, Kesley,
when we 1st visited this summer back in July.
We both got creepy feelings when we visited then,
but I was fine when I was there by myself
a couple weeks ago...
It was just all in our heads! LoL! =)

Two different barns on the same road near Farmington, Missouri...
both sporting Green Acres on the front,
so I'm guessing they're owned by the same farmer...
and don't you know Green Acres is the place to be! =)

Scenic Sunday - Alley Spring

Earlier this summer, my aunt Valerie & I took a drive

up to Alley Spring to see how much damage there was

from the floods this past spring...

Thankfully, not much!

They had the place cleaned up very nice, as usual!

This is a one room schoolhouse on the property

near the Alley Spring Mill

called Story Creek Schoolhouse.

I absolutely love the history of these old places!

According to the chalkboard inside,

this old schoolhouse was built in 1897 

& was actually used from 1897 to 1957! =0

It was moved from its original location 

just north of Eminence, Missouri

about 15 minutes from Alley Spring in 1971.

This class photo was taken October 21st 1903...

108 years and one day ago!!! =)

I took these pics of display pics from inside Alley Spring.

The other two photos were dated, but I can't remember when.

Someone has gotten creative & wrote part of the lyrics to

on one of the desk chalkboards...

Alley Spring is one of my favorite place here in Southeast Missouri...
I love it there & will continue to visit & photograph it for years to come!
