When I added the texture to these I had it in mind to do a little experimenting,
so I added different layers as in
1. texture layer is multiply
2. screen layer
3. overlay layer
4. edited, but no texture
I didn't keep track of the percentage like I should have,
I'm more concerned, right now, about the different layer effects
& how they look.
I'm actually trying to get the hang of less is more
& not going so overboard in my editing!
Which do you like best?
I'm very curious to know which one everyone chooses...
If you don't like any of them,
let me know that, too!
If I'm going to experiment,
I need to know what works & what doesn't! =)

3rd and 4th are my favorites. i like the deeper colors and tones...
#2 - don't like.
I really enjoy #3. Great texture work.
You chose a wonderful photo to experiment with. Each treatment is great, but if I have to choose I would go with #1. Thank you for sharing your creative art with Photo Art Friday Tricia!
I like 3 and 4 but I'm a deep color person. What you like is what's important because that defines your style. There is no right or wrong. Beautiful photo in any case.
I like 3 and 4... I really don't understand how you guys do that:)
I like 3 and 4 best.
Beautiful job, Tricia! They're all gorgeous shots, but I especially like the last two. Nice work!
I like them all, but I think the first one is my favourite.
#1 and #3 are my favorites...I love the deeper toned colors.
Hi, Tricia,
I like #1 best; isn't editing with different textures and effects fun? I have been playing with layering photos of the night sky over some of my "still life" shots. I see you are in Southeast Missouri...Poplar Bluff? I am in Sikeston. I came to your blog when another blogger (I can't honestly say who at the moment, as I have been going from blog to blog...you know how that is!)mentioned unique barns...my Dad had a really interesting one (it is no longer there, unforunately) in Bloomfield...if you get a chance, look at my post "The 1st of March"...Now following you ~ nice to "meet" you!
Best,
Anne
Great shots! The color in these shots is outstanding. My Etsy shop is up and running come and take a look at http://www.etsy.com/shop/rossmccreery
You'd laugh at how much time I spend tinkering around with these darned textures, Tricia. Or maybe not! :)
Do you erase the texture from your main photo subjects? Is this photo, the phlox? That would make them pop -- great photo to work with! :)
Oh how pretty! Looks like spring :-)
Great image! I think #2 is too washed out and bright; my fave is #3 with the dark rich colors. One of my standard processing steps now is to add soft light to every image and usually decrease opacity to between 50-80% - it boosts the contrast and colors subtly and makes most every picture look better.
I like #3 best. The texture seems to deepen the colors of the already lovely original.
I like what you've done with these photos. You are definitely getting the hang of working with layers. These are simply beautiful.
Beautiful image to begin with and enjoy the "postle" image marriage. #1 and #3 for me! Great processing. Thanks for sharing. Karen (visiting from PAF)
I think I like the third one the best but I also like the first one a lot. It's a beautiful shot.
Gorgeous photo and the Postal Images work so well with it. I also prefer versions 1 and 3 the best.

Oh honey, I can almost smell 'em!
I like the third pic myself.
God bless ya and have a blissful weekend sweetie!!! :o)
Lovely flowers and your edits are beautiful!
Third and fourth one by far... But they are all good. I'm just not into pale/faded...
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
These are lovely. I have been wanting to play with texture, but I never seem to find the time! Great pics!
Oh golly..... I'm one of those people who prefers a pure photo without texture. It's rare that I use textures. I like the last photo. :-))
Definitely for me the first two are my fav's but love them all!
I think I like the fourth one best though the third one is good too. Wishing you a terrific weekend!
xo Catherine
I love them all!
These are so beautiful and delightful summer cads.
Have a great weekend
I love the first one, the colors look natural and soft. What a beautiful postcard this would be and bring a smile to the receiver!
Out of all of them #1 is my favourite and it's a lovely photo of the phlox aswell. I like to add textures but it takes me so long deciding which texture to use, which blending modes and then the opacity! Not enough hours in the day when I start on textures LOL
I like the third one....I tend to like rich color. Your image has that added warmth to it and the graphic!
I love the last one!!!
