Update on Landon

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
for every single prayer!
We all appreciate it tremendously!

LiL Landon is still in the hospital
& his breathing is still labored
& they're giving him breathing treatments.
His oxygen level is suppose to be at 100,
but it's down to 89...
I'm not sure exactly what that means
& I haven't had a chance to talk directly to my sister,
because she's busy taking care of him
& I don't want to bother her,
plus her cell is dead cuz they forgot their chargers
in the rush to get him taken care of.

Landon's temp keeps spiking,
so they're working on keeping it down.
They want to keep him at least 24 hours
after it spikes to make sure it's gonna stay down
& they said they'd probably keep him over the weekend.

They haven't tested him, yet,
but they're thinking he may have asthma, too.

I feel so sorry for him... and Jess & Matt, too.
If he stays in over the weekend,
I'm going over there to help
so that Jess & Matt can get some sleep...
they're probably exhausted!

UPDATE:  Landon's temp stayed down last night
& they took him off the oxygen! THANK YOU GOD!
They're going to keep him for at least
12 hours more & maybe 24.
Landon's still coughing, but he's doing better!

Both my boys went through this kind of thing when they were little . It tuned out to be a blood infection . They contracted it in the summer when playing out side the Dr said it could be from a cut that got dirt in it or by rubbing their eyes or nose ya know kids especially boys . I hope they find whats wrong and get him better . Prayers that all goes well for all and the poor little guy can go home !

One of my children had the same problem, and spent a week in the hospital with pneumonia. He was about the same age. It's scary, but Landon will get better! He is such a little doll with those beautiful blue eyes!

It's so hard to see a little guy suffering so, and the hospital is not fun, but that's the best place for him until they get things under control. My prayers for all of you.

Oh my Gosh Tricia I'm so sorry that I missed your last post so I'm only finding out about your little nephew Landon now. I'm glad to read the update at the bottom of this post and that his temperature went down and stayed for the night. My heart goes out to all of them and you and your family too. Things like this are so frightening. My youngest daughter came down with pertussis (whooping cough) when she was 6 months old and we came close to loosing her. She lost so much weight in a short amount of time and that cough...oh that horrible cough. It just broke your heart. She was ok...she recovered just fine. I know how hard it is to go through something like that as a parent. I'm glad the hospital is keeping him longer just to make sure everything is ok. I will be thinking of you all and sending up prayers that all is well.
