What Do You See?

In color above
& infra-red below
I couldn't choose which of the 1st 2 edits I liked best,
so I just wanted to post both.
This old place is north of here near Farmington, Missouri
and as soon as I saw it,
I asked my aunt to turn around & let me shoot it.
 Thank you Valerie! =)

Do you see anything strange?
I'm sure it's nothing & I'm sure there's an explanation,
but in either of the 1st 2 pics,
look closely in the 2nd window from the right on the 2nd floor,
what do YOU see?

My vision is terrible so I am not seeing anything unusual ... what do you see?

Great home tho, so love the character of the places you capture.

Have a beautiful day

It looks like a shilouette of a person. Funny..but on the far left upper window it looks like a ghost looking out!

Oooo, chill bumps. But I love it!

I'm not seeing anything, but then, the whole place has a sort of creepy air to it.

i see a 'form' in that window, 2nd to the right, but i see a woman's face and lace around her (either as veil or curtains) in the far left 2nd story window in the first 2 shots. :)

do you see that?

What a gorgeous house! It must have been a looker in its hay day! These are the places I dream of buying and fixing up.

And it's extra cool with that 'apparition' in the window :)

LOVE IT

Seems the 'former' residents are as curious about you as you are about them. Its a good thing to have fun with pictures! :)

Love the colored version!

I had to get out the magnifying glass for these old eyes. But it does look like a form in the right window and a woman's face in the left.

Looks like ghosts are living in that old house.... You captured some great pictures. I like both of them also--but the 2nd one gives it that spooky feeling...
Hugs,
Betsy

Gives me goosebumps....looks like maybe the old place is not really abandoned.

The pictures are gorgeous, Lisa! And I like both edits. I see stuff in the windows, but not anything I can distinguish. I'd like to see an even larger version, though, because I'm curious. Some of these other ghost hunters must be seeing things I'm not. :-)

What a beautiful old home. Does look like a silhouette! I'm just sayin'.

I noticed the guy in the hat right away. I love the tattered curtains. Creepy yet wonderful place!

Ok just looking at those its creepy,I noticed the silhouette in the window as soon as I looked at the photos maybe that is why it seems creepy.
Fantastic shots creep or not creepy ;)!

Well it seems we have a couple still occupying the house...Wonder if they were sending you a message...hahah

Great shots....

I see the remains of a curtain that covered only the bottom half of the window.

It might just be that some squatter(s) have moved into part of that place!

I like the color shot! Much more expressive of the reality, methinks!

great lines and composition...what a fantastic subject, and great eye on your part to get your aunt to turn around. I also see nothing in particular, nothing I can distinguish...this maybe like a rorschach test, saying more about us than the subject:)

Spooky......post this one again on Halloween!!! lol

Oh wow, it looks like a shadow of someone in the window...

Upon care looking, I've decided I see a dog's tail that is distinctive from the rest of the form. Very subtle...or I could be seeing things! :-)

Lookslike a fantastic old building.
I'm feeling a little left out - I can't see anything in the windows. But then I never see things when other people can!!!

gtyyup said...

A great old house!!! But, no, I don't see anything specific...maybe I tried too hard!! It can make the mind wonder about things like that though!

Rosie Leavesnbloom said...

Great processing - really pretty and yes I see that figure looking out the window aswell - so eery but you know what I've taken photos at grave yards though I've never noticed anything strange about them but somepeople have had strange things show up on their graveyard pics. My submission today is on www.leavesnbloom.com/

Neat pictures. I do like the first and last and in the last I see a upper torso in the 2nd from the right lower floor. Hmmmmm!! MB

Ooh, these are pretty in a very eerie, ghostly way...it almost looks like a person standing in the window? Eek. lol...great captures! Thank you for sharing.

So beautiful.

Just looked again. That is kind of freaky.

What a neat old house. Why do people just let things go like this. I can imagine some of the shapes that others see. I would love to peek inside....

Okay, cue the creepy music...

Elaine A. said...

Yeah, that place is totally haunted. Good thing you were there in daylight! ;) Cool pics!

This old house has so much character. Really great photos. I'm glad you shared both. I like the color one best because the green plants look so nice in the foreground.

I like both edits! It looks like it was once a very nice house. Maybe the occupants just didn't want to leave.

Carletta said...

It's funny Tricia but the first thing I did when your page opened was look at the windows. It's something I've always done. :)
I didn't see anything in the window you described - you might say eyes in the upper left of it but looking closely that looks like more tattered curtain.
I do agree with Janis and Tex that a face seems to be looking out in the far left window.
I like the infrared edit!

Don't be getting ghosty on me -- that stuff freaks me out! Lol.

Linda said...

I think I see Norman Bates! (And I totally just dated myself with that statement) Or something or somebody...that is a little creepy!

Looks like you might have caught a ghost or a really great shadow. Totally cool!

Cool old house! I like both versions of it.
