Big Rose's Ol Dilapidated About to Collapse Falling In Run Down 70's Reject Motel

October 13th 2012
Near my parent's farm.

Can you find the fences?
They're kinda hidden, but they're there in 2 different shots & one metal fence post in the 1st pic...
It's almost like 'Where's Waldo!"
The one is running right down the middle of Old Old Hwy 60 West
(Yes, there's 3 Hwy 60's - Why?  I dunno!)
I threw the last one in just for good measure...
it's actually on the same property, too, tho =)

I just really like shooting these old run down places.

I feel sorry for all the run down buildings . We have quite a few in our village here, it is a shame . I would love to turn one into a photo gallery for my and hubs photos ! One day , one day ! Fantastic photos ! Have a good evening !

I'm so mesmerized by that gorgeous fall foliage!! All the reds, yellows and oranges are such a striking contrast with the dilapidated motel. Beautiful shots, Tricia.

I love shooting old places, too. It seems to bring a little life back to them....at least someone has taken an interest in it.

Poor thing! It surely saw better days! Love the shots, and especially that very red tree!

The colour on the tree in hat last shot is awesome. And super sharp the same time. Excellent shots

Love that building! I like how the brick work is starting to come apart. The trees are beautiful!

More lovely fall foliage Tricia!
I like the next to last shot but I'm not sure what's being fenced in. :)

I spotted the fence. Old rundown places call my name...I love to photograph them too!

such pretty scenes!! here, instead of 3 hwy 60's, they will have different names for a road, which i don't understand at all and people wonder why i'm always lost :D

Gorgeous photos of beautiful autumn colours. Even the old motel kind of blends in.

I love finding places like this and hubby and I found one down the road from us, now that the leaves are gone we were able to see it. I'll have to get shots of it the next time we go by it. Beautiful photos!

Long ago maybe in the 30s or 40s places like that were called tourist camps. Isn't that a funny name for them? I see the fences, a bit hard to find sometimes.

Looking at your wonderful photos makes me feel that Autumn was so long ago.

I love the shots of the run down motel up against the beautiful fall leaves. Such an interesting juxtaposition!

I did see the fences...just barely!

Good pics, Tricia. Love the fences too. I guess we won't be staying at Big Rose's Motel when we come to visit. MB

I commented but don't know where it went.
I don't know what I said anymore except I like your pics and the fence shots and that I guess we won't be staying at Big Rose's when we come to visit you. Maybe I zipped off into cyberspace. OooOoooOOoO MB

I imagine it was a hoppin' spot in it's heyday!

Doesn't look like it was ever a real fancy place. Love that fence down the middle of the road!

That looks like a great place for kids to run around and play hide and go seek! Thanks for the ghost story about Half Moon Bay! Enjoy the week.
